About MOMS Club®
MOMS Club® is a non-profit support group. We are unique in that we welcome children to our activities. MOMS Club® supports your decision to stay home with your children and offers you a chance to participate in an abundance of activities. We offer activities and events when stay-at-home moms need them the most, during the day! Whether you are a stay-home mom, have a home based business or work part time, we offer you the chance to socialize with other adults, build lasting friendships with other moms and share in the joy of being able to stay at home to raise your family.
History of
MOMS Club was born in 1983, when Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being home alone. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers, and find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her infant and preschooler, she decided to start a brand-new organization just for at-home moms. She called it MOMS Club.
The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be longing for something like MOMS Club as well. Soon, with the help of volunteers, Mary was helping mothers start MOMS Club chapters across the country and around the world.
We now have 1500 chapters in the United States alone, and over 55,000 members. There are even MOMS Club chapters popping up around the globe, as the stay-at-home-mother movement continues to gain momentum.
